Fraudulent Calls Impacting Northeast Members

We've received multiple reports of Northeast Members receiving a call that appear to be from an employee at Northeast Credit Union. These spoofed call are from scammers and are not legitimate.

During the call, the member is asked the following:

• to provide their personal information (i.e. account number, Digital Banking username & password, and Secure Access Codes) in order to "protect" their account from "suspicious activity"
• for payment via gift card or cryptocurrency

If you receive a suspicious call from someone claiming to be from Northeast Credit Union (even if the number appears to be from Northeast), hang up immediately. If you're unsure of if the call is legitimate or not, please call us directly at 888-436-1847.

Remember Northeast Credit Union or any financial institution will NEVER text, call or email asking you for passwords or Secure Access Codes, or ask for payments via gift cards or cryptocurrency.
