Eric Roots For His Students In the Classroom and On The Field

Eric Mommsen, a teacher at Maple Wood Elementary School doesn’t just support his students in the classroom, but also on the field.

Along with being a dedicated 3^rd grade teacher, Eric is also the equipment manager for his school’s sports teams and according to his nominator, is “the voice of Somersworth sports”. Eric will even go out of his way to collect donated equipment and perform repairs so that he can give it to children whose family might not be able to afford these items. He’s also known for taking time out his schedule to attend his students’ games to cheer them on.

Eric’s constant support for his students in and out of the classroom is the reason why he was chosen as one of our 2020 Teachers Who Wow.
