Portsmouth, NH – Northeast Credit Union’s ‘Virtual Community Center’ launched this week as part of their Love Your Community Project (The LYC), a movement dedicated to celebrating goodness and encouraging people to practice humanity in their everyday lives to build stronger, kinder communities.
Northeast’s ‘Virtual Community Center,’ located online at thelyc.com/communitycenter, aims to help community members who are doing their part to “flatten the curve” by staying home during the pandemic. This feel-good site offers fun activities and healthy ways to make this time spent together meaningful and manageable. Categories include: Eating Well, Education, Entertainment, Hanging In, Helping Out and Wellness. The Love Your Community Project (The LYC) also hosts contests and asks for visitors to share their kindness stories to uplift and inspire others.
“It’s times like these that we need to do our part in celebrating goodness and finding silver linings. While we are focused on being here for our members, and supporting their financial needs during this pandemic, we also believe it is our responsibility to celebrate the helpers, promote positivity, and give hope to so many who are feeling a bit lost. The Love Your Community Project and our Virtual Community Center will bring some light to people’s lives; we encourage you to take a few minutes of your day and explore this wonderful resource,” explains Timothy J. Collia, President & CEO of Northeast Credit Union.
