More than 500 students participated on Friday where they went through a process of determining their personal expenses to include; housing, transportation, entertainment, food, pet care etc. Students were exposed to various career choices through a process of self reflection of interests and aptitudes leading to the selection of a career. Northeast Credit Union Member Representatives participated by reviewing the students budget which included their career choice, salary and expenses. “The financial fair is a great way for students to learn about budgets and their expenses versus their spending money,” said Victoria Reishus, Assistant Vice President Marketing. “Some of the students were very responsible with their fictitious budgets while for others, it was a great opportunity to educate them on the benefits of saving their money.”
