Northeast Credit Union Honored with Three National Industry Awards for Outstanding Marketing and Business Development Achievements

Portsmouth, NH- Northeast Credit Union (NECU) President & CEO, Timothy J. Collia is pleased to announce the credit union was recently honored with three prestigious Diamond Awards from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council. The awards were presented at CUNA’s 22nd Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada and recognized three separate marketing efforts produced by NECU. Accepting the award on behalf of Northeast Credit Union was Andrea Pruna, vice president of Marketing and Victoria Reishus, assistant vice president of Marketing

Collia, NECU President & CEO. "This is a well-deserved recognition and honor for our Marketing team from our national credit union peers."

"Credit unions that receive these awards should be extremely proud of their accomplishments and know that their work represents the very best examples of creativity, innovation, relevance, and execution. The Diamond Awards are not easily earned and the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council is proud to honor those who are deserving of this recognition."


NECU was recognized with the Diamond Awards for the following campaigns:

Northeast Credit Union's Website: NECU developed a new website with enhancements to better serve their credit union members with intuitive homepage features to include: Login to Online Banking, Checking Rates, Making a Payment, or Opening an Account. From a back-office perspective, one of the main goals was to have a CMS (Content Management System) that would provide NECU's Marketing Department the versatility to change out promotions, post news and events on the website and update copy and content without having to reach directly to the outside web development company.

Northeast Credit Union's 2014 Annual Report: As NECU was preparing its annual report, their beloved CEO, Peter Kavalauskas (whom had just announced his retirement) passed away unexpectedly in a snowmobile accident. The NECU Marketing team lead by VP Andrea Pruna quickly revamped the Annual Report to represent the credit union values that Peter had so strongly built during his 35+ year tenure at the credit union. The Annual Report was developed with these values while providing the opportunity to dedicate the Report in Peter's honor.

Northeast Credit Union's "On the Bus" Internal Marketing Recognition/Incentive Campaign: In 2014, NECU welcomed a new President/CEO to Northeast Credit Union (NECU). In an effort to promote a smooth transition, a new internal campaign was developed, "Get on the Bus". Tim Collia, NECU's new President & CEO wanted to share the strategic vision of the credit union with employees. NECU's Marketing Team developed bus tickets and small toy buses branded with the NECU logo. Each employee received a toy bus after signing the bus ticket which indicated they were engaged in NECU's strategic vision. It was a well received employee campaign that continues today.
