Bank Where It Matters
Investing in Community with Northeast Credit Union
Whether you’re building a family, or a home, saving for college, or your retirement, you’re an important part of a bigger community. At Northeast Credit Union (NECU), we’re also a part of that community. We not only support it, we invest in it. For more than 80 years, we’ve made it our business to offer better rates and personalized service, and we’re also committed to strengthening our communities in whatever positive ways we can. Here’s where you can find us:
1. Recognizing you. Yes, we're a financial institution, but we're also an investor in your future. Our Love Your Community project ("The LYC") is all about our commitment to celebrating and supporting people who help build their hometowns, participate in acts of kindness and the kind of small gestures that make a difference. Good people doing great things can help change the fabric of a neighborhood, a town, or a state.
2. Nonprofits. We support numerous nonprofits and these nonprofits support our communities. Through our volunteering and sponsorships, we support individuals and families in New Hampshire and Maine by helping with financial literacy, education, family financial stability, affordable housing, economic and community development. We care about the struggles families in our community face.
3. Scholarships. Sending kids to college is a huge financial expenditure. We understand the heavy burden on families, so we not only offer financial advice to guide you through the intricacies of financial planning to fund an education; we also offer scholarships to student-members who are dedicated to academics and to strengthening their communities. In fact, in 2018, we awarded $40,000 in scholarships to 25 exceptional students from New Hampshire and Southern Maine.
Becoming a member at Northeast Credit Union is more than having a bank account. Being a member at NECU is becoming part of an even bigger part of your community – helping to make it a stronger, better place to work, to live and to enjoy life.
