ATV Safety Tips
Looking for summer fun on the trail or in the mud? If you’re a trailblazer or mud pitter - it’s time for some off road adventures!
Its ATV safety awareness week and we want to help keep you safe wherever you ride.
Here are a few safety tips to remember when riding off road:
1. Never drink & ride.
2. Dress the Part: Always wear appropriate riding gear. A proper ATV helmet, goggles, long sleeves, pants, boots and gloves.
3. Prep for the Ride: Always do a pre-ride inspection. Check tires, electronic connections and make sure everything is working properly before you venture out.
4. Ride Appropriately: Ride an ATV that’s age appropriate and supervise riders under the age of 16. Always ride with a buddy in case you run into an issue on the trail, get lost or run out of gas. Having a problem with machine is never fun; especially alone.
5. Be Aware: Ride at a safe speed and be sure you know your surroundings. Always keep a close eye out for your riding buddy, any critters, bumps or obstacles. Bumps can be dangerous and may cause you to unexpectedly bounce off your machine.
Whether you’re just starting out, or are a seasoned rider, practicing safe riding habits is for all levels of experience.
