Nice Catch – Celebrating Kind Kids 2022 Promotion

These are the Official Rules for Northeast Credit Union’s (“NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION”) or (“Sponsor”) 2022 Nice Catch – Celebrating Kind Kids Initiative (“Promotion”).

NO PURCHASE OR ACCOUNT OPENING IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MAKING A PURCHASE OR OPENING AN ACCOUNT WITH NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. PROMOTION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ALL DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED SOLELY BY BINDING ARBITRATION AND ENTRANTS WAIVE THE ABILITY TO BRING CLAIMS IN A CLASS ACTION FORMAT.
Purpose
Northeast Credit Union believes at the heart of every community are good people doing great things. Northeast Credit Union has partnered with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and the Portland Sea Dogs to create the “Nice Catch - Celebrating Kind Kids” Initiative to recognize and celebrate kids in New Hampshire and Maine who consistently demonstrate compassion, empathy and kindness toward their peers, teachers, coaches, families and other community members and who go above and beyond to make our communities a kinder and brighter place.
If you are a teacher, coach, youth leader, parent, family or community member, we need your help. Northeast Credit Union is seeking nominations for kids, ages 17 and under, who are working hard in their communities to show compassion, empathy and kindness toward others. We encourage you to submit your nomination for a kid you know who is dedicated to showing kindness in their daily lives.

Nomination Period

Nominations will be accepted from April 1st 2022 at 12:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST) to May 31th, 2022 at 11:59PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) (the “Nomination Period”).

Nomination/Entry Guidelines
Anyone nominating a Kind Kid (17 and under) for the Nice Catch Promotion, must be 18 years or older and have permission from the child’s legal guardian. No purchase is necessary. Contest rules and nomination forms can be found at necu.org/nicecatch. Nominations must be submitted online during the “Nomination Period”. Employees of NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and the Portland Sea Dogs, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, and their immediate family members and/or those living in same household are eligible to enter the promotion.
Submissions must be original; may not be obscene or indecent; cannot be sexually explicit or suggestive, profane or pornographic, or violent or otherwise promote bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, age or any other basis protected by federal, state, territory, provincial or local law, ordinance, or regulation; cannot promote alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing), any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous, or any political agenda or message; cannot be offensive, endorse any form of hate or hate group; cannot defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging remarks about Sponsor, its players or its products or services, or other people, products, companies or third parties; cannot communicate messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill to which Sponsor wishes to associate; may not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm or entity; may not in any other way violate any applicable federal, state or local laws or regulations; Submissions not in compliance with the Submission Guidelines will be disqualified.

Eligibility of Nominees (Kids)

The Promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States who at the time of nomination are ages 17 and under. All entrants must be natural persons. No entries from business entities are accepted. Employees of NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, and their immediate family members and/or those living in same household are eligible to enter the Promotion. This sweepstakes is open to residents of the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. Offer void where prohibited. Individuals located in Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Minnesota are not eligible to participate in the contest because of state law. Contest is void in Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Minnesota.

How to Enter/Nominate a Kind Kid

Entries will be accepted online at necu.org/nicecatch during the “Nomination Period”.

Your online nomination constitutes your consent with verbal authorization from the nominee’s parent or legal guardian to participate in the Nice Catch Promotion and your consent for NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION to obtain, use, and transfer your name, address and other information for the purpose of administering this promotion. If the nominee is selected as a winner, we will then need a written permission form from a parent or legal guardian for them to participate. All contest entries become the property of Sponsor. Entries will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, corrupted, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, or not otherwise correctly received due to technical, administrative, or human error, including, but not limited to, any software, hardware, computer or networking issues, or any other circumstances – technical or otherwise – beyond Sponsor’s control.
NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any and all entries of an entrant who NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of this Promotion.

Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged by a panel of judges selected by Sponsor. Nominations/entries will be ranked by judges based on the following criteria:

1. Examples provided that demonstrate the acts of genuine kindness and empathy on a consistent basis;
2. Sharing how the Nominee makes others feel, in a positive way;
3. Detailed examples of how the Nominee’s actions and attitude makes their school, team, community better, and
4. Explanation as to why the Nominee is considered a kind kid and should be a Grand Prize Winner.

Nominations that are detailed and descriptive are more likely but not guaranteed to score higher and have a greater chance of winning.

Prizes

There will be (12) twelve Grand Prize Winners total, in July or August. Each winner will receive a special “Nice Catch” package and social recognition.

Grand Prize “Nice Catch” package includes:
• Tickets to a New Hampshire Fisher Cats or Portland Sea Dogs game with (10) friends or family*
• Video recognition during the game on the JumboTron, social media, and at www.necu.org/nicecatch
• Goodie bag courtesy of Northeast Credit Union and the baseball team of choice (listed above)


Notifying Winners
Potential winners of the Nice Catch Promotion will be notified no later than June 26, 2022 via email or phone provided by the nominator’s submission form. Each potential winner’s legal guardian will be required to sign and return a Publicity Release ("Declaration") which must be received by Sponsor, within five (5) business days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, in order to claim their prize. If a selected winner cannot be reached, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize, or fails to return the completed and executed parent/legal guardian permission form and releases as required, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. The winners have 5 business days to respond and confirm participation; otherwise the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. Receiving a prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. If a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by selecting the next runner up from among all remaining eligible entries.

Taxes

All taxes in connection with the prize, and the reporting consequence thereof, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. You are only eligible to receive one prize from Sponsor per calendar year. Delivery of prize will be made in the year 2022.

Disqualification

NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry/nomination process or is otherwise in violation of these Official Rules or any laws.

Applicable Law

Any dispute arising from this Promotion will be determined according to the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without reference to its conflict of laws principles, and by entering the Promotion, you fully consent to the personal jurisdiction of the State and Federal Courts located in Rockingham County, New Hampshire and agree that such courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes.
