My First 100 Days at Northeast

I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself formally. I’m Chris Parker, and since mid-July, I’ve had the honor and privilege of serving as the new President and CEO of Northeast Credit Union. 

These first few months have been about listening and learning how to best support the credit union, our fantastic staff, loyal members, and our local communities throughout New Hampshire and Maine.

I arrived in New Hampshire by way of Orlando, Florida, where I’ve spent the past 14 years with Disney’s credit union. One of the most often-asked questions I hear is, “What brings you North? Most people from New England are heading south to warmer weather.” The answer quite simply is Northeast Credit Union.


While I’m looking forward to experiencing the beauty of New England’s four seasons, the spirit of helping others attracted me to Northeast Credit Union. The culture of helpfulness shines through in so many ways. I’ve been so impressed with how wonderful and caring the people of Northeast are and how they work faithfully for our members, advocating on their behalf and partnering to find ways to solve financial needs and achieve financial dreams.

I’ve also witnessed the power of community in my short time here. For example, Northeast’s Love Your Community Project has this year already awarded nearly $250,000 in Love Your Community Awards to the local organizations helping build stronger communities. The credit union’s dedication to helping its members and communities prosper is captivating and core to our mission.

As we look to 2022, I’m pleased to share that Northeast is poised to deliver new products and services designed to improve your access, convenience, and experience. These include launching new mobile banking and online banking capabilities and streamlined experiences in our branches and contact center, plus much more. But know that we’re also looking to the future and what Northeast Credit Union will look like in ten to 20 years, as we strive to remain as meaningful and relevant to our members and communities as it is today.

We have so much to be thankful for here at Northeast Credit Union. Our opportunities are boundless. I cannot wait to see what the next 100 days bring!
