MyFunds SavingsSM

It's never too early to start developing good money management habits, and Northeast Credit Union has a savings account designed specifically for our young members - My Funds.   
   

  • Kids, tweens, teens, and college students learn the value of saving and earning dividends.
  • Teach children to save for what's important to them: a new bike, iPod, or cell phone; the hottest videogame; even a first car or money toward college.
  • College students who live at school can access their MyFunds with their ATM card.
  • Parents can support their sons' and daughters' savings - and add cash to the till - with deposits and transfers into MyFunds from their other NECU accounts.

A MyFunds account offers these great features, which kids, students, AND parents will love!: 

  • Available to young people up to age twenty-two.
  • A rate of 2.03% APY* on the first $500 and no monthly maintenance fees.
  • You can open a MyFunds account with as little as $5 dollars.
  • Parents can make automatic deposits or electronic transfers from their Northeast Credit Union account into the MyFunds account.
  • And, if your student is away at school, they can access their MyFunds account with an ATM or debit card.

Other Products and Services to Consider 

* Members under the age of 23 are eligible for the MyFundsSM Share Account. At the end of the month of the member's 23rd birthday, the account will automatically convert to a variable rate Regular Share Account at the regular share rate at the time of conversion. The MyFunds Share Account is a variable rate account of 2.00% [2.03% Annual Percentage Yield (APY) effective as of January 1, 2010] for balances $0 to $500. A variable rate of .25% with an APY of .25% (effective as of January 1, 2010) applies to all MyFunds balances $500.01 and over. These variable rates may change after the account is opened. Our dividends are calculated day of deposit to day of withdrawal; compounded and paid on the last day of the month. One MyFunds Share Account per qualifying member.
